My Perfect Road Trip... |
|
| >I am very enthusiastic to share this perfect Jacksonville road trip with my wife Anna. We live in Palm Coast, which is about an hour and 25 minutes to Jacksonville. There was no special occasion, no celebration. It just popped into our minds to get into the car and enjoy what Jacksonville, FL has to offer. Besides, we had this ticket to a Jacksonville Symphony performance given to us by a friend. First stop was Kathryn Abby Hanna Park. We enjoyed the beautiful sandy beaches, natural dunes and freshwater lakes. To make the moment even more romantic, we tried the equestrian trail. Biking is also highly recommendable. It's not only romantic; it's also very healthy. Nature lovers will love Kathryn Abby Hanna Park, for sure. We ate at one of the picnic areas at the park. We enjoyed shopping at Jacksonville Landing, a famous shopping and dining complex in Jacksonville. There are many shops to visit such as Art of Hope Gallery, Sports Mania and Bill's Caricatures. We ate dinner at one of the restaurants at Jacksonville Landing. Dinner at Benny's Steak and Seafood was a perfect romantic treat. My wife loved the gorgeous patio by the river. The steaks were great, so were the desserts. Before heading home, we watched a hair raising performance by the famous Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. The pianist, Arnaldo Cohen, played a very intense rendition of Rachmaninoff's Third Concerto. And the contribution of composer and violinist Piotr Szewczyk was a stunner. It was only my second time to watch an orchestra performance and I loved it without question. My wife also loved the whole evening orchestra treat. The performance was a perfect way to end our Jacksonville road trip. The road trip was very romantic and I recommend couples to visit some of the places in Jacksonville, FL that I mentioned and the things we did.
